About the MR Therapy Centre.
The MR Therapy Centre is based at the world-renowned hospital, St Mary’s, in Paddington, London. The Centre was set up to enable MRgFUS treatment of uterine fibroids to be offered as a clinical service, and to allow the continuation of our research programme into new applications using this innovative therapy. Our medical consultants are among the most experienced doctors world-wide in clinical and research aspects of MRgFUS.
We also operate a full diagnostic MRI service for private patients, using advanced 1.5 Tesla Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanners, with access to a 0.5 Tesla semi-open interventional Magnetic Resonance Imaging scanner for claustrophobic patients. We are able to perform the whole range of neurological, orthopaedic, body and vascular studies on an outpatient basis. We also provide Magnetic Resonance Imaging services for inpatients in the prestigious Lindo Wing, the private wing of St Mary’s Hospital. Scans are reported by experienced consultant radiologists based at the hospital.
Facilities for patients at the newly refurbished MR Therapy Centre include a comfortable, well-appointed waiting area with magazines and refreshments, internet access and a new treatment recovery area. We have suitable access and toilet facilities for the disabled.
Our priority is to offer an efficient and customer-led service. Our Unit Manager and reception staff will ensure your visit to the MR Therapy Centre is as convenient and relaxed as possible.
